Appreciation - It's in You to Give

Two simple words - 'Thank you' - revitalized me during burnout. Express appreciation to those who exceed expectations.

I was burned out. Working long hours, feeling unappreciated, questioning why I was putting in the effort. Then someone said two simple words to me: "Thank you."

That's it. Just a genuine expression of gratitude for something I'd done. It completely changed my outlook.

We often forget how powerful appreciation can be. A quick "thank you" costs nothing but can mean everything to someone who's struggling.

Think about the people around you:

  • The colleague who always helps with code reviews
  • The ops person who keeps the servers running
  • The manager who shields you from unnecessary meetings

When was the last time you thanked them?

Appreciation is in you to give. Give it freely.
